VSM Borivali branch celebrated Palak Melava 2019 on 16th Nov, at Suvidyalay, Borivali (west ) , Mumbai . Mentors (19), Parents (18), Students (22) & Guests ( 9) attended this event.
It was really a Memorable Evening! A beautiful rangoli drawn by our students at the entrance was catching attention of everybody. Parents & guests were welcome by our students by giving them sonchafa flower. Program began with a prayer sang by students.
After the prayer, Sushama Parchure took charge of anchoring the program. Neela Wavade told the audience about VSM, functioning from inception till date & much more.
After this, few students were called upon the stage to tell about their relationship & bonding with VSM . Student Pooja Palekar told about medical aid she received from VSM in her illness. Avani Mahadik shared her experience she got during the Somnath Shibir arranged by VSM. Apurva Vaidya spoke about library facility provided by VSM. Jayant Shigwan, who is an alumni student of VSM told the audience about making career in Applied Arts.
Kshitija Gawane performed 5 minutes solo play on the subject “ RIVER GANGA “. In her play she expressed her concern about polluted Ganga river.
Next agenda was interviewing parents to know their views about VSM. This responsibility was nicely shouldered by KP Radha Ambekar along with KP Anjali Shirke. By poising simple questions, Both of them made the parents open up & talk freely about VSM.
After this interaction with parents, our student, Vinisha presented a teaser / trailer of BE FRANK , a popular activity of VSM .
Guest and also our Donor, Mr Patwardhan & Mr Kashikar endorsed the importance of VSM in todays environment.
Finaly, Anjali Pednekar, co – ordinator of VSM Borivali branch, spoke about VSM’s functioning and thanked the guests and parents for attending the event .
