We thank you for the support extended to VSM by donating the amount collected at your home during last Two years’ Ganapati Festival. VSM had arranged to place over 1100 Ganapati Donation boxes last year helping VSM to reach out to over 1100 households. This helped VSM to meet the expenses of education of many students.

This year, due to Corona pandemic, none of us know in what form and manner we will be celebrating the Ganesh Festival. It may not be possible for us to visit the homes of our near and dear ones during this year’s festival.
We at VSM would like to request you to support us in our mission of Empowering Students through the concept of “From Festivities to Social Awareness”. VSM has been able to take forward it’s mission as a result of the support of hundreds of like-minded persons who have helped all along in the past. We appeal to you wholeheartedly join us, just like last year, in our Mission 2020 this year which would be launched soon in a digital format.

More About VSM
VSM, an NGO set up in 2008, is currently supporting 317 deserving students from all most all districts of Maharashtra in their chosen field of study viz Medical, Engineering, Nursing, Fine Arts, Commerce, Science, Arts and ITI, etc. VSM has 5 branches – Thane, Shahapur, Borivali, Pune and Nagpur. The Sixth branch will be opened at Aurangabad in September 2020 to help the students from the Marathwada region. VSM supports students from 10 standard till their graduation. The selection of students is based on written exam, Aptitude test and Interview. The final admission after a home visit to ascertain the family support and background. VSM has career guidance teams for many streams . The Unique Value Proposition of VSM is its Mentoring concept. Every student has a mentor who not only help the student in academic but supports the student in all his / her difficulties. The relationship that develops between the Mentor and Mentee and the bonding between them is the core of VSM’s working. All volunteers, 300 in number, support VSM on purely honorary basis without any cost to VSM. All round development of the students is the objective of VSM and is achieved through various interventions.
So far over 350 students have completed their education and are now supporting their families. The current students on board are 317 and their budgeted expenses are Rs.140 lakh.

उत्सवाकडून समाजाकडे – Ganapati Danotsav
मागील वर्षी आमच्या विद्यादान सहाय्यक मंडळाच्या मिशन ५०० ह्या गणपती दान उत्सवात आपण आपल्या घरातील गणाराया समोर आलेली रक्कम (देणगी) विद्यादानच्या शैक्षणिक कार्यासाठी देऊन सामाजिक बांधिलकी जपत आमच्या विद्यार्थ्यांच्या शिक्षणासाठी मोलाचा हातभार लावला. मागील वर्षी संस्थेने ११००डोनेशन बॉक्स तयार केले.त्याद्वारे विद्यादान १००० लोकांच्या घरी पोहचून त्यांच्या समवेत जोडले गेले. ह्या जमा झालेल्या देणगीतून आम्ही आमच्या अनेक मुलांच्या शिक्षणाचा भार उचलू शकलो. आपण केलेली ही मदत नक्कीच अनमोल आहे 🙏🙏.
या वर्षी करोना ह्या जागतिक संकटामुळे गणपती उत्सव कसा होईल हे सांगता येणार नाही.एकमेकांकडे जाणेही होणार नाही.
आम्ही विद्यादान सहाय्यक मंडळ आपणास विनंती करतो की आमच्या ह्या “उत्सवाकडून समाजाकडे” गणपती दान उत्सवात सहभागी होऊन आपल्या यथाशक्तीप्रमाणे ह्या ही वर्षी आमच्या मुलांना त्यांच्या शिक्षणात मदतीचा हात द्यावा. आपल्या सारख्या हजारो दानशूर दात्यांमुळे आम्ही हे विद्येच्या देवतेचे गणरायाचे शिक्षणाचे कार्य करीत आहोत. मागील वर्षी आपण आमच्या ह्या गणपती उत्सवाच्या कार्याच्या आनंदात सहभागी झालात, तोच आनंद ह्या वर्षीही आम्हास मदत करून द्विगुणित कराल हि आशा आणि विनंती.

विद्यादान बद्दल अधिक माहिती
विद्यादान ही एक सामजिक संस्था असून , संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रातील अनेक जिल्ह्यातून गरजू,गुणवंत आणि होतकरू अशी ३१७ मुले ह्यावर्षी,आयटीआय ,मेडिकल,नर्सिंग,इंजिनिअरिंग, फाइन आर्ट्स,कॉमर्स,सायन्स, आर्ट्स अशा विविध शाखांमध्ये शिक्षण घेत आहेत. २००८ पासून विद्यादान ठाणे, शहापूर,बोरिवली,पुणे,नागपूर, या शाखांमधून एक सुशिक्षित,सुजाण समाज घडविण्याचे कार्य करीत आहे. मुलांचे १० वी नंतरचे शिक्षण संस्था करते. त्यांची लेखी चाचणी,मुलाखत,त्यांच्या घरी भेट देऊन त्यांच्या घरच्या परिस्थितीचा आढावा घेऊनच त्यांना संस्थेत प्रवेश दिला जातो. आमच्या प्रत्येक शाखेच्या करिअर मार्गदर्शक टीम आहेत. संस्थेचे एक आगळेवेगळे वैशिष्ठ म्हणजे कार्यकर्ता पालक ही संकल्पना . प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याला कार्यकर्ता पालक दिला जातो. तो विद्यार्थ्याच्या शैक्षणिक प्रगतीवर लक्ष ठेवतो, त्याच्या अडचणी समजून घेऊन त्यावर विविध उपाय सुचविणे, तचेच वेळोवेळी त्याला मानसिक आधार देणे अशी कामे करतो. कार्यकर्ता पालक ही अतिशय आनंद आणि समाधान देणारी भूमिका असून मुलांमधील व कार्यकर्ता पालकांमध्ये उमलत जाणारे असे हे सुंदर नाते विद्यादानचा गाभा आहे. सर्व कार्यकर्ते हे ऐच्छिक कार्य करीत आहेत. मुलांचा सर्वांगीण विकास हे संस्थेचे ध्येय आहे.त्यासाठी वेगवेगळी शिबिरे, कार्यशाळा घेतल्या जातात. आत्तापर्यंत ३५० विद्यार्थी संस्थेतून उत्तम शिक्षण घेऊन वेगवेगळ्या क्षेत्रांत कार्यरत आहेत.संस्थेचा ३१७ मुलांचा ह्या वर्षीचा खर्च १कोटी ४० लाख आहे. अधिक माहिती साठी आमच्या You Tube Channel ला भेट द्या.
