26TH VEDH, by Dr. Anand Nadkarni’s IPH (INSTITUTE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH) commenced from 7TH December to 9TH December-2018 at Shiv Samarth High school grounds, Thane.
3 days of brainstorming sessions of VEDH (VOCATIONAL EDUCATION, DIRECTION AND HARMONY) covered valuable experiences shared by 16 individuals from different fields, locations, lifestyles and social, economical and educational status. VEDH highlighted their journey from zero to Peak of success, accomplished with qualities like strife to excel, Sincerity, Consistency, Transparency, Empathy and above all Hard Work.
VSM students and KPs (Karyakarta Palak) make it a point to attend VEDH every year, as it provides great insight to achieve success in whichever field one desires. It acts as an inspiration to dream big. Most of our students come from rural, semi urban areas, are financially weak, without proper support from family. VSM provides them monetary as well as emotional, moral support and act as MENTOR for them.
The very important lesson we learn from VEDH sessions is, there is no barrier or obstacle to attain success with determination and hard work. Secondly one must not be satisfied with secondary or mediocre position, and should always aim for the top or excellence in any field.
Our VSM stall at VEDH this year could attract sizeable footfall of interested audience. (Around 100+) Our volunteers provided appropriate information about VSM activities. And after prompt follow up 3 visitors have shown active interest in attending VSM meeting. Our purpose is to spread our work through mouth publicity and connect with potential volunteers.
The record number of our VSM students, attended “VEDH” (IN three days, 60+94+90 students). Conclave was also attended by many KPs (Karyakarta Palak). Dignitaries from VEDH also visited VSM stall with keen interest. Amongest them were Dr. Sharada Bapat, Mr. Abhijit Thorat, CA and Vivek Bhimanawar, IAS (CEO, ZP, Thane).
Donations received for VSM in cash are for Rs.2750/- and Swadisht Caterers, donated by sponsoring one day’s snacks and food for students.
VEDH organisers every year distribute awards for writing Saturday Diary, to the students and members from audience. It is an apt summary of VEDH sessions, and for last couple of years our students (VSM) have bagged them. This year 3 VSMites received the awards.
In Nut shell, VEDH provides very good platform for spreading VSM activities to society and also inspires our students to achieve excellence.
