At the onset, students spoke about their journey with VSM. Nilesh Harad & Bharti Agivale talked about their career choices, strong support from VSM and their strong bonding with their mentors. They expressed their gratitude and wish to help in VSM work, as per their capability. According to Swapnil Farde when students pass out they need some help & guidance from VSM in their jobs. The journey and objective of VSM alumni association, their work and contribution in various VSM activities was well explained by Vrushali Kokate.
Sanket Kale told about various Government job opportunities and also explained the application procedures. This was followed by a very interactive session by Parag Rede, wherein he tried to understand their problems in their first jobs, how to tackle them effectively and reasons to change the jobs. He also told students how to maintain balance between personal and social life.
VSM’s well-wisher and one of the members of Caring Friends, Shri Nimesh Sumati shared his experience while working for various organizations. He also read out a letter he had written to his son when he was out for a job. Shri. Arun Seth, who is associated with both, VSM and Caring Friends, emphasized the importance of being self-employed.
Ranjana Kulkarni explained how ex-students can help VSM in various ways. The can coordinate and also participate in various VSM Workshops, Be Frank activities etc.
Geeta Shah interacted one on one with the students present and said that VSM expects pass out students to contribute in VSM’s activities with full zeal, optimally utilizing the skills, talent and exposure that they have acquired during their academic and work life. Further, she said that by staying connected with VSM, both VSM as well as past students will get benefit of each other’s expertise and experience, and thus can complement each other and together we will move ahead. The concept of Alumni Association as “Power Bank for VSM in 2018” was put forward. It was decided to work on this model and next meeting is planned in the month of September 2018.
On behalf of VSM, Swati Agate delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the program.
